Brooklyn Cooperative FCU’s VITA program offers free tax preparation services to credit union members and community residents (single tax filers earning under $20,000 and tax filers with dependents earning under $45,000). This year, the program completed over 2,225 returns, securing nearly $3.5 million in tax refunds for the Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant communities.
